"Commissioners of Adult Social Care should be confident that they can limit the focus of their assessments to areas not related to the standards of care already assessed and rated by CQC, thereby reducing unnecessary duplication and burden on providers."

At last, could we be on the road of least duplication between Local Authorities' service specifications and the regulator?

Commissioning Standards are being developed sector-led, and Statutory Guidance will commence from April 2015.

Access this very interesting review here.
