Hi,

Here is an opportunity for those starting the new Leadership and Management for Care Services Award to discuss news, views and experiences and ask questions relating to the Leadership & Management in Care Services.

The Leadership and Management for Care Services Award is the replacement for both the current NVQs in Registered Managers (Adults) and Residential Childcare Managers.

Kind regards

W&P Care Training Team

Hi I have just finished my NVQ4. I woukld like to go on and do the L & M course. I have been told I won't need to do it all just some of it as my NVQ will cover some. Can you tell me if this is correct. Thanks

Hi Lindap, has your assessor given you a plan of where to begin, you can then begin with writing about your job role and how you manage your staff, resources, rotas, budgets. This should get you started until your assessor does some observations which have to be done in this award. come back to us if you have specific questions when you have chosen a unit to work on and good luck, Katrina
