Hi debbiew,

You have the power but you can share it by giving them choice and input in their own learning.

It's about not taking over, not being intimidating, using supportive language, allowing them to make mistakes that they can learn from (within reason!!), not rushing them, not criticising them (especially in front of the individual), planning supervisions with them not just telling them, listening to them etc.
