Dont think about it just do it. There is some work involved and I especially had to study the standards and study work to mark it simply because I had never done an Nvq. I had gained my qualifications differently. I think its an opportunity to learn to assess and to learn how it all works so yes work work but I did not lose sleep over it so its reasonable x

hi hunny
thank you for that.. I have started it but have not met my candidates yet and I am waiting to meet them. I also have to meet my iv at the uni to discuss the details.. can you tell me how many times your assessor or iv had to observe you and meet you in total till you finished your course?
thanks

I met my assessor during induction and also my IV was the teacher who did the induction. I was observed by my assessor once and also spent some time with her on completion. The induction I had was excellent, the information was crucial and I used much of it as a resource to help me complete. The A1 questions, also make lots of sence once you have cracked them.

My biggest resource were the candidates and other candidates who allowed me access to work that thier assessors had passed and also observed copies of my countersigning assessors Assessment plans, observations and feedback sheets. I also borrowed a friends level three portfolio to give me more clues. I simply grabbed as much info as I could as my training provider and my candidates assessment centre were 25 miles away.

Every one involved plays a crucial part in your A1.

Good luck, I have thoroughly enjoyed learning my new skill, now I need to find the right job x
