Dont know what happened there! would like to say hi and ask for some advice re observations. I'm a trainee assessor (whose not very good at typing.lol) and I only have to assess my candidate on one unit. We've chosen HSC33, Reflect on and develop your practice. My problem is, Idont know where to start doing an observation with him. any advice would be appreciated. Kaycee

Hi Kaycee,
You could observe him undergoing an appraisal/supervision with his manager but this may not be appropriate. I get my candidates to complete a skills scan using the NVQ standards criteria. You could also observe him asking for feedback from individuals, key people, colleagues, his manager and others from other services.

When I did this one my candidate showed me a copy of her appraisal and I used this as evidence. We also had feed back from her manager on her supervision which covered quite a bit.
