Hi,

Has anyone else found the knowledge very repetitive, especially re.theories?

I am considering putting them together and asking my candidates to write a brief knowledge account on items such as human growth and development such a maslow.

Any thoughts or comments?

Hi Jsavage, sounds like a good idea to me as you say the same knowledge pops up in different units, so why not cross reference one piece of work which is relevant? It would be interesting to get other people's views on this Katrina

Hi

I always assess holistically and so will pick up any knowledge evidence which is common to more than one unit.

JSavage has a good idea in getting the common knowledge covered in one piece of evidence the only thing to bear in mind is that this knowledge may be covered in other ways such as observation or reflective account leading to the candidate doing extra work when there is no need.

Thanks both for feedback - its encouraging.
Yes Dave, you are right in saying evidence may be found in observations etc, but I consider this as a positive duplication since it further establishes that they can apply the knowledge to practical work, as opposed to writing several knowledge accounts saying the same thing over again in different wording which doesn't demonstrate application. (Hope that makes sense!).
