Hi dianefoley,

Individuals have legal rights to make their own choices under legislation such as the Human Rights Act, the Health and Social Care Act and equality acts such as the Disability Discrimination Act and Race Relations Act as well as moral rights (rights not in law but recognised by society).

They have responsibilities accept liability for their choices and to ensure that their choices do not put others in harm's way.

Hope that helps

Hi dianefoley,

This isn't about legislation its about individual differences between you and an individual such as you might think its normal to bath every day but an individual thinks once a week is enough. Remember our beliefs and values aren't always just based on religious or cultural norms they can be personal preferences.

Hope that helps
