hi aunty sue, hope you can help me with this question, how do you ensure the service user understands your responsibilities to disclose information about harm and abuse ?. i realize you can ask them but in the question it says( ensure)

Hi dianefoley,

You explain that it is your duty to report information about abuse to your employer. You can show them your policies and procedures to ensure that they understand this.

Take a look at them yourself and you should find that the individual has the right to decide who else may or may not be informed (unless there is good reason to override their wishes).
