The social care sector is one which constantly changes and moves on. Such as the emphasis on personalisation, quality services, takling exclusion and influence of the culture of rights and responsibilities. So reflective practice is important to challenge and where needed change our practice.

Q1 I usually expect knowledge to show that the learner has comprehension that the body has a structured bony skeleton, joined with different joint mechanisms, with muscle and ligament attachments and skin covering. This shows that you understand the way the body is made and then for physiology you would need to very briefly explain how this works / what each aspect does...expanding the risks of poor moving and positioning may capture fourther evidence.
Q2 I have had learners talking about the need to position people with a paralysis from stroke in a certain way for safety and comfort, clients who are amputees who need specific handling equipment for safe transfer, clients with dementia who need added observation and explanation to support correct and safe transferring etc
