any help would be appreciated

You are a social care worker and a service user tells you that she is unhappy taking her new medication. She thinks she does not need it an so she is throwing it way. you know from her care plan that she does need to take the medication regular and gets cons used She begs you to keep this confidential and not tell anyone especially her daughter who she sees regular as her daughter will be very angry.

a How would you explain the term confidentiality to the service user:

B Describe the possible tensions that may arise between telling others of the service users decision and keeping this information totally confidential.

Hello,
You need to establish her capacity to understand. You need to remember the action you need to take if you are asked to keep a secret about something that is potentially harmful. You explain in a way she will understand, she may feel for a while she cannot trust you.
