Also, check your organisations Policies & Procedures, do you have handouts from Safeguarding training, also legislation such as Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Different agencies could be all those involved, eg. care agency, Safeguarding Team at Local Authority, the police, regulator (CQC) GP, nurses, hospital consultants, etc.
Sources of support could be your line manager, colleagues, training, the internet, Care Quality Commission, General Social Care Council, Skills for Care.
