Basicly don't use any equipment if you are not trained to do so! Another thing is to check before and after each use if equipment is in clean, good working order (if nothing is loose, no parts missing, nothing is broken etc). If 2 people is required to assist person by using equipment (like hoist) do not attempt to do it on your own (or with person not trained to do it). Check in care plan what equipment should be used, but also make your own quick risk assessment (if persons condition has changed).
I hope that helps.
(I know my english isn't very good, but I am just trying to help a little bit)
Good luck!

Dont forget this is about pressure care so look at sterile packs, creams washed off and reapplied, PPE using it infection control, sling clean not on pressure area where poss, bed at right angles if a profiling bed to help ease pressure (raise legs and head etc!) If you are super lucky you may have a bed that rolls side to side too to ease pressure on one hip with out having to use pillows
