I'm currently working on the Err booklet. I work as a care assistant, just started my NVQ 2.

Ineed advice on these two questions please:

Bviii) Describe how your own work must be influenced by National factors such as codes of practice, National Occupational Standards, Legislation and Government initiatives.

and

Bix) a) identify TWO different representative bodies which influence your area of work



Any help would be great - i'm new to all this - i'm probably thinking far to much about it and making it more difficult than it really is!!!!

If you get hold of GSCC Codes of Practice then most of your questions will be answered. There should be copy available in workplace.

Hi gobbiegiggler, there should be copies in your workplace, if not look at www.gscc.org.uk and you can order a copy for free from there. It gives a lot of help to anyone doing the NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care Katrina

Thanks for the info just tried the above web page but it having maintenance/upgrade . . . . . .i work 12 hr shifts and finding time to get this info in the work place is very hard going as everyone is just soooooooooooo busy

Just checked it out, you are right it is not easy to find, defintitely ask your manager or assessor, there should be a copy at work for all staff. Katrina
