Hello,
I'd be more inclined to go for Care Quality Commission for one. I think you are looking too hard at questions!

These are the last questions in the err booklet i have left to complete -

Bvi)
Explain how your role contributes to the overall delivery of the service provided.

Bvii)
Explain how you could influence the quality of the service provided;
a) Following best practice within your role

b) Not carrying out the requirements of your role

Bviii)
Describe how your own work must be influenced by National factors such as codes of Practice, National Occupational Standards, Legislation and Government Initiatives.

any help / guidance would be great!!!!

Hello,
Just keep it simple.
Explain what your contribution is to the overall service that clients receive, say how you contribute, say what you do, e.g. explain that you write in Care Plans each shift but don't carry out reviews, you do personal care and families provide toiletries, and so on.
Do a good job and clients will feel so much better
If you don't do a good job then the service provided will deteriorate, home may be reprimanded and so on.
You need to follow standards , follow procedures, keep training up to date.

Just think of the obvious and it will be right.

Level 2 unit 201 roles and responsibilities. Task c.
Create a career pathway plan for yourself, indicating what opportunities are open to you as you progress in your chosen career. Indicate what you will need to learn or any qualifications you might need to gain in order to achieve your goals. Identify sources of information to help you achieve your goals.

Can anyone suggest a template for me?

Same unit task D Presentation or report
Prepare a presentation or report on an issue or area of public concern related to the care profession.
Your presentation or report should include:
• A description of the issue or area of public concern raised
• An outline of the different points of view regarding the issue or area of public concern raised
• A description of how the issue or area of public concern has affected service provision and methods of working
• A description of how public opinion is affected by issues and areas of concern in either the health, social care or children's and young people's sectors.

Any pointers/help given would be welcomed.

Many thanks

Hi, doedoe
By the looks of it your at exactly the same stage with the level 2 diploma as I am...it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one wanting abit if guidance.

Just to point you in the right direction to task D I've gone for the winterbourne view care home/ castlebeck case, there is alot of info online if you just google it there is also a panorama which was recently shown on tv might be worth going on YouTube to watch it.
I've come to a standstill on taskB bviii...any help you could give would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hello thanks for the pointer.

taskb. If I have understood the question correctly I have written along the lines of its the outworking of the law as it protects both service user and yourself. Its good practice providing a good quailty service that respects both servie user and yourself. It makes you accountable for our actions etc. failure to follow these gudielines will result dismissal for yourself or serious injury to the service userand mal practice for the home . So they greatly influance how you carry out all aspects of your work.

Not had this checked yet though!

Hi,

Maybe go along the lines of
A) Caring attiude towards service users through listening ,taking time with them without rushing will help them feel valued which gives them a sense of purpose maybe...boosting their self esteem effecting their mental well being etc etc....

b)Encouragement...saying they are doing well at something, they are dressed well or what they have cooked is great and taste good this promotes empowerment/indepandance which again effects the self-esteem and effects their level of participation with any activities. Physcial activities would better their health, other activities help to promote their mental well being etc..It also helps them feel involved.

You could also talk about giving choices or their involemnet with their own care plans again bring involvement, empowerment allows for them to feel independant, valued, what they are saying is important promotes well being etc etc.

With this in mind you can choose lots of actitives that will promote their well being.

Hope this is helpful in some way
