You could change your answer allowing for expansion;

for example;

Risk assessments designed to support choice and active participation need to be updated regularly due to:

1 - change in a person's disability/illness
2 - a change in a person's preferences, wishes and needs, ensuring these are identified.
3 - I'm struggling for a third......maybe you can think of this one, but I hope this helps you

Could the 3rd one be a change in the legislation? I am thinking mostly at moving and handling techniques...

Hi

You can also include the CQC Fundamental Standards specifically Regulation 12 Safe Care & Treatment 12(2)(a)(b) which refers directly to assessment & review of risk. Additionally Regulation 17 Good Governance which also refers to the provider assessing, monitoring & mitigating risks.

You also might want to use the risk assessments as a work product to show your assessor & think about completing this part of the Unit holistically as risk assessments are central to person centred care.

Trust this is helpful.
