PLEASE HELP!!! I'm on the knowledge specification of 364 (Identify the Physical Health Needs of People with Mental Health Needs) and I've had a complete mental block!!!

The only place I can find the questions is at: http://www.wales.nhs.uk/sites3/Documents/501/HSC364.pdf (pages 6-8)
I need help with 7, 9-32, 35, 36 & 38.

I can't cross-reference any of it and this is all I need to finish the whole course!!!

I'm not asking for help with all, but some will be great! All will be FANTASTIC!!!

If it helps, I work in a secure unit with patients on section under the Menal Health Act 1983 with learning disabilities, PD's, ASD and challenging behaviours.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!

Many many MANY thanks!!!
Tom

Hi tom it may help if you post the actual questions as not everyone has access to each unit. Also try www.thenvqman.co.uk for resources on level 3 Katrina

Ok Katrina, these are the only ones I am now stuck on:

22 The risks which there may be in various courses of action for the individual and how to assess these realistically.

23 How to balance risks, assess individuals’ needs, resource availability and service priorities.

24 The purpose of agreeing with individuals if a referral to another practitioner is required and how to provide them with sufficient and relevant information for them to give their informed consent.

25 The purpose of recording agreements reached with individuals and how to do this effectively.

26 Methods of communicating assessment information to others balancing the duty of confidentiality, any agreements made with the individual, risks and duty of care.

27 The resources which are available to meet the individual’s needs within your own and other services, including specific provision catering for older people.

28 The priorities of the services for different groups and how these affect the services you are able to provide or refer to.

29 How to determine whether the individual’s needs should be met even if resourcing of the service makes this difficult and what to do in these situations.

30 The arrangements which may need to be put into place for further assessment or interventions and the capacity of the service to provide these.

31 The quality, quantity and type of information which needs to be provided when making referrals and any differences that arise as a consequence of the information systems used by an agency.

Hi tom, q's 22, 23, 25 these should be available in the person's care plans, 26, your workplace confidentiality policy will cover this, 27 and 28 have a look inyour local area social services, voluntary and health services provision to see what resources are available. 28 and 29 Not sure on this, there may be a workplace policy stating what can and cannot be provided, have a look at the statement of purpose or a contract for service user. 30 and 31 you may need to ask your manager/mentor about how this information is accessed. Hope this helps, also have a look at the CSCI inspection reports for your workplace as some information can be found there. Just by the way, have you had to answer all the knowledge specs in your NVQ as questions? katrina

In answer to your question, I needed to cover all the knowledge specs, not necessarily answer them in 1. 2. 3. format, but these last ones, for some reason, i havnt been able to cover with other work ive done! sucks really but nearly done now )

Thanks again
