It is seen that many people use mobile phone to talk to family and friends while they are at work. Lots of companies have restricted the use of mobile phone but there are still bunch of places where it is allowed. Mobile phone distract the employees/workers and make the workplace prone to have accidents. What is your thought on this issue? Please share.

Good one and a fair question. I have been in my job 7 months and every meeting we have their are complaints about people using their mobile phones at work, but 7 months on it is still going on and nobody is taking a blind bit of notice. The management is too relaxed.

I would say that people are more likely to use them when they are not moving around the building, but when they are sitting.

Still the answer to your question is YES I do think that they should be left in the lockers before they go onto the floor.

YES, I believe they should.
While working in a forensic care environment, a few accidents occured due to carers being distracted by there face book and other communications on their mobiles.
I have also seen many staff ignore clients due to 'chatting'.

They should be banned.
