Hi Everyone , I was wondering if i should do NVQ Level 3 as a must before Level 4?. Also i want to know if anyone knows any courses cheaper than 995.00. My back ground is i have worked in a nursing home . plus i have done Pallative care looking after my dying father for 19 months. I am at present the main carer for a private client and have been foe a year now and i have trained 2 part time carers with hoisting and medication etc .. I run all the house hold expenses and food shopping, bills and day to day running of my clients life.....



All Advice would be gratefully received, As i have not got money to waste if i do not need Level 3.....I also want to branch out into DEMENTIA CARING.

Hi Twinkle,
you don't have to do L3 before L4, however, in your current role you will find it difficult to get the evidence needed for L4. L3 sounds more appropriate in your situation - often there is funding for this , but it depends on where you live. You can do VRQ's ( distance learning) in dementia awareness and palliative care - speak to your local college and see what they suggest/ can offer.
