I am so glad to see this site, I have been doing my NVQ since April last year and it has been a total struggle with sleepless nights and tears and im still stuggling now, I didnt have an assessor for 4 months so I am very behind.

I am a team leader but i dont really do a managers job, some of the time im guessing what needs to be written as i have no idea or understand what they are asking me for.

I would like to do work shops but the assessor doesnt do them, I now have to catalogue everything i have done which has been explained to me serveral times but im still not understanding how to do it.

Can anyone help me?

Hi, sounds like you have had a rough time - what units are you doing? Your assessor should be supporting you, so make sure you tell him/her if you don't understand anything, referencing takes time to understand.
I am in the process of writing guidance sheets on how to write personal statements to cover knowledge - I can send you these as I do them (will need e mail address). Don't despair, plenty of people here can help. You can also look on the nvqman website, lots of info there.

Thankyou for your reply, I am doing HSC41,42,43,45,434,450,451,416.

What I am finding really hard is im not doing a managers job so I dont know half of what i need to write about.

I had a meeting today and feel alot better about it all, now it has been explained again, but I just want my NVQ over with now.

I think I just got myself in to a complete mess with it all, but I have stopped myself from using it as bonfire material haha.

hello DeeDee im new to this site but and was eager to get going on with my nvq hsc4 in(children and young people) but 4 moths later im struggling abit like sasiey in earlier messages. i am a team leader who role is not totally "managment level "but it will be when i have passed ...if that makes sense .i could really appriciate any sample work to help me put things in order,its all confusing at the moment,i need to simplyfy things ..i think . thanks

flojo - sorry I missed your post, was not on here for a while as my hubby was very ill. Most of the evidence will come from the work that you do, backed up by discussion etc. On average it takes about a year - but this really depends on your circumsatnces, how much time you commit to it etc.
