where do you work residential or for an agency doing home care...you need to check you contract of employment.
If you work with an agency, i think you will find they say they do not guarantee you fulltime hours, but will do the best they can. also if the hours that have been cut were overtime , employers have the right to do this.
Unless you give abit more infor, can not say if this unfair or not....Hope this helps

its a home care agency and i was the first carer they had, as they aquire more carers they are getting the hours and the carers who are not -- shall we say -- on the list of favourites ie) friends and family of the co ordinators, are getting less. i signed up for 40 plus hours from day one.

If you have a written contract for 40 hours then they have to either give you 40 hours work - or if they don't have 40 hours work to give you then they still have to pay you for the 40 hours - seek advice from C.A.B.

If you have it in Black and White that you will be given 40hrs then thats what they should give you.
Did you op out of the working time directive? if there is nothing indicating your hours of work, the agency does have the right to give work to others....it sound like your face does'nt fit anymore.....

Hi stj62,

It depends what the caution was for and how long ago it was but it won't necessarily stop her from working in this field. It will probably show up in a CRB check so her best action is to inform any trainers or employers about it first.

Hope that helps

Hi

I think there must be some misunderstanding between the management and you and that is the reason they have done this to you. I would suggest you to go to them and ask them the reason politely. Also, this might also be the case of they were not happy with your performance and so they did it to you.

Talk to them and do the needful.

Hope this helps.
Debbie
