hi, an easy complaints procedure makes it easily accesible to carers, clients and others, easy to follow and understand and to explain, if others know how easy it is for vulnerable people to access the procedure then it reduces the risk for abuse. hope some of this helps. look at your company procedure and see how easy it is to follow...would your clients understand it or does it have too many steps to follow?

a harder procedure would just make people think, oh cant be bothered...dont understand how to do this and the consequence of that is the vulnerable person continues to be abused. the quicker the problem gets nipped in the bud the better it is for the vulnerable person.
