how you would manage the risks associated with the conflict or dilemma between the individual's rights and your duty of care. Explain where you could seek additional support and advice about the conflict and dilemma. help

This could be where a diabetic declines to eat the diabetic choices offered. It is their choice what they eat but you know it could be harmful to them. I would seek advice from my senior and possibly the family/carers to see how they manage it, and their GP or a nutritionist. A care plan would need to be agreed with the individual and put in place and the possible consequences explained. You would also need a risk assessment if they still declined to accept the diabetic choices.
Hope this helps
