Hi MILOZIM,
Direct discrimination occurs where someone (or a group) is treated less favourably on the ground of her/his sex, gender, race, religion etc than another person would be treated. It can be deliberately or not deliberately done. For example 'man wanted' when to job could equally be done by a woman or a rule saying 'gay couples not allowed a double room' in a care home but married couples are.
Indirect discrimination is where a condition, criterion or practice is placed as a barrier that excludes certain individuals or groups. Again it can be deliberately or not deliberately done. For example 'Cleaner wanted must speak English' where there is no justifiable reason for this or a rule saying 'double rooms for married couples only' in a care home.
Hope that helps
