Hello,
Find this quite a bizarre thing to do, I mean, who is going to write to their friend about this? But let's not dwell on that.
Just start the letter in a friendly way, sort of 'I hear You're going to start a care job' sort of thing. Then just go on to say something like 'you will probaly hear words and phrases that you don't understand like ..........' 'Well, let me try to help you understand .......... and then explain simply what it means and how it affects what you do.
Keep it simple, avoid jargon.

its maybe to cut down on the number of people who apply thinking yeah great job and when they start they hadnt realised they were dealing with the personal care side of things.

so to nip it in the bud you would explain at the start exactly what is expected of them so they have the knowledge before commencing down the path to applying for the job.

i actually did something similar just the other day. a friend applied and i put forward some questions she mightget asked at the interview, she was a bit freaked out and seemed to think the job would be similar to a old peoples home, i explained we were just supporting people to be at home like she was, she almost dropped out but after thinking it all through she decided she would go for the interview
