how you would manage the risks associated with the conflict or dilemma between the individual's rights and your duty of care. Explain where you could seek additional support and advice about the conflict and dilemma.

Service users A and B often have differences of opinion which can cause friction between them both when they are together. Service user A enjoys watching the television and likes the peace and quiet in the lounge. Where as Service user B enjoys listening to music and can be very loud and sometimes aggressive. This causes conflict between them both and has an impact on other service users who are present.

Hi agus. You have a duty of care to all the individual's in your care. As service user B appears to have more complex needs I would ask service user A if they would like to move to a quieter lounge to watch the tv. You would need to explain to service user B that their behaviour is not acceptable if it is causing distress to other service users. Though they have the same rights as everyone else their behaviour is having a diverse effect on the majority. Perhaps they could have their own space when they wish to listen to their music. Distraction is also a good way to solve conflict. Providing activities for the service users could also help to solve the conflict by giving them something different to do.
