Hi MILOZIM,

According to the Safeguarding Adults Multi Agency Procedures 2011 (section 1.5.2) - physical abuse is the non-accidental infliction of physical force that results (or could result) in bodily injury, pain or impairment.

Examples of behaviour: hitting, slapping, pushing, burning, physical restraint, harassment, enforced sedation, inappropriate use of medication, and catheterisation for management ease.

Hopr that helps

Aunty Sue
