Hey there everyone, any chance that someone can give me some help.
The question is about Specific Communication Needs.
I have got to write an account of my role in setting up & monitoring communication equipment used by an individual where I work.
Im stuck because I work nights & its a home where the residents have dementia plus nursing, so I really have no idea what it is that I am suppose to write about ?
Any help would be greatly received x

Do any of your residents have hearing aids? Do you have alarm systems? Or you could stretch it and include spectacles or reading lights.

Working with Disabilities i found that each person has own form of communication whether they are verbal or non verbal. so thinking back Body lanuage is a form of communication, and the use of communication cards. i would also recommend getting some books on communication two i can think of is people skills by neil thomson and communication in social work by Joyce Lishman you should be able to find these at your local library. hope this helps
