Okay, i have virtually finished the above unit, but i am finding it difficult to explain in "my words" and not the internets the "non centred approach" to dementia.

I have written the following ......

" A non-centred approach is the opposite to a centred approach where the dementia illness is not the patient with the dementia. The gp/consultants would be looking at the dementia and the progress it has on the patient"

The thing is ... am i on the right track, i have until the end of the week to complete this unit in order for me to be on the right track to complete the 18 month course.

Am i right? and is there anymore i need to add?
Please advice

Hi bossyboots,

A non centred approach is a service led approach where care is provided to suit the care provider's needs rather than the individual's choice.

Hope that helps
