Hello
I have an opportunity to take up post as a registered manager but a couple of things are worrying me.
Criminal Conviction 35 years ago (nothing that stopped me being employed in the past)
Previous employer didnt not promote equality in the workforce and because i spoke out i took time off work as his favouritism to other staff made me quite stressful.
Would this hinder cqs registering me?

Hi,
Not necessarily, the DBS disclosure allows you to detail any previous convictions, do this and it is up to the employer not CQC to risk assess your suitability to be a registered manager after 35 years the risk could be deemed as minimal.
Previous time off work for stress can be discussed with CQC if they deem it appropriate. If the illness was certificated by a GP and then you returned to work or left the company you can explain the circumstances and again your employer decides whether this would be something he/she would not want to take on but remember the Equality Act and fair and rigorous employment practice would have to be demonstrated neither of these two incidents should influence your registration.
