Hello
This question asks you to think and write about how you evaluate your knowledge , performance and understanding with regard to relevant standards.
It is really important when working in social care to be effective so you can provide the people you are supporting with good quality care. Part of doing this is about thinking about and evaluate what you do and the way you work and to identify your strengths and weaknesses. It is important that you learn to think about your own practice constructively as this can be of real help to identify areas of improvement.
So think about a situation where you have undertaken a specific task ( this may have been supporting someone in a specific task, achievement of an outcome with someone you were supporting etc.) write about the task, how you went about planning the task, what you did well and were there any areas where you felt less confident and if so what did you do about that….did you seek support, training advice etc…
Relevant standards may be a Code of Conduct, Agreed working practice, Skills for Care. CQC Fundamental Standards…to name a few.
Hope this is helpful.
Keep in touch
Kind regards
