Hi, how about:
1. An individual slipping, tripping or falling, sickness & diarrhoea, coughs, colds, flu, scabies, head lice.
2. Apply your First Aid training, follow organisations' Policies & Procedures eg. complete an Accident/Incident Form, record in individuals' file.
3. Following company's Policies & Procedures, staff knowing their responsibilities & that of empolyer, trained, experienced staff, eg. use of hoists, infection control, food safety & hygiene, COSHH, First Aid, staff setting a good example, etc

Hi, think about how everyone concerned may be affected, eg an outbreak of food poisoning, how this would affect residents/service users: those directly affected; sickness, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, dehydration ( may lead to being admitted to hospital) long-term complications, immune system being compromised, they may have existing health issues, be less able to fight off infections, or be vulnerable due to their age/lifestyle/circumstances.
People who live wtih individual/know them/attend the same day centre: not physically affected but emotionally: anxiety, stress, worry: will they be next? how ill are their friends?
Family & friends; worry, scared, will the person be ok? Financially affected.
Staff, they may be physically affected themselves, also feelings of guilt: were they responsible/what did they do/could of done, staff reputation, staff morale, short-staffed, extra pressure, stress, blaming those responsible.
The organisation; consequences, (reputation, investigation, profits, jobs)

Q 1-the importance of protecting your own security and the security of others in the work setting?
Think about your workplace & the security you already have in place. ( you may have a documented risk assessment that you could use as a work product.) So write about why it is important to have these security measures in place for you & the people you support.

Q 2-the importance of safe moving and handling principles?
You probably already know this if you have completed your moving & handling training….think why it is important to move & handle any object safely ( injury to yourself, if supporting a person both of you, in keeping with legislation…look at the policy & procedure of moving & handling in your workplace as this should be referenced as can be used as a work product.


Q 3-identify accidents and sudden illness that may occur in a health,social care,children's or young people's setting?
It would be worth looking a your completed accident & incident forms from your workplace & relate the answer to this question from those. Again read through your workplace policy & procedures as this may also assist you in the answer. The answer needs to be relevant to your workplace so if you are supporting children for example the accidents they have would probably not be the same as an elderly person due to the difference in lifestyle & limitations.

4-identify who might deal with accidents and sudden illness in the work setting?
Again this needs to be referenced to your workplace so what is the policy & procedure in your workplace. What are the expectations of dealing with accidents or sudden illness….the policy & procedure of accident or sudden illness ( emergency procedures) will assist in answering this question.

Remember to work holistically with your QCF as some of these answers will relate to other Units. Remember too that the QCF is work based so evidence should come from your your workplace!! They'll be lots of it!!
