can you tell me what is sufficient when writing observations for performance, as an assessor and within a team of assessors we have always been indepth when writing what and how a candidate performs for as many PCs as we observe. Our training provided has now doubled our work load and we think we are writing too much. can some one advice on what is enough. Thanks in advance

Hello,
Observations should be detailed so that it is obvious to an IV what criteria you are claiming.
Yes, there are shortcuts, you don't need to write every detail about someone updating records or washing their hands, saying something like they did whatever in accordance with guidelines and legislation should suffice.
I have to ask, why has your workload doubled? Your training provider will now be earning more, are you?
Training providers will always push assessors to do more, the more you do, the more they earn.

Thanks steady sue , it's more to do with in house staff being registered with sssc, and that is why we have been given extra candidates,as a team we have always had excellent Ev report, we are trying to maintain a good standard of work in meeting requirements of NOS. Any advice on shortcuts whilst maintaining good quality work will be much appreciated.

Thanks
