Hi
Im doing HSC42 knowledge spec and got a bit stuck on how to answer question 19.
(i work in residential care with children and young people)
Q: the use of evidence, fact and knowledge based opinions in records and reports and why it is important to differentiate between these and make clear the source of evidence to readers.
Will welcome any suggestions
Thanx

need to state what is fact and what is opinion. Incident forms for example ask for facts so that is self explanatory. however there will be time when someone gives their opinion rightly or wrongly. Need to clarify if this happens why opinion given, that you are not an expert and thereofore should not be diagnosing.

wont be any poliices directly on this. Will just state need to consult them where necessary and to work within the limits of your authority.
No secrets looks at nter agency working to tackle POVA
Modernising social services i think also maybe relevant.
look at NHS care and Community Act 1990 also.
You will need to understand about what conflict is, causes of it and management - conflict is inevitable, causes can inc, poor communication, different objectives and motives, personality clashes, etc etc etc.
Its really about all having a shared common vision. In other words all singing from same sheet.
