Please could someone help me out as at the moment i am working for an agencey,
When i first went onto books was asked to pay for my CRB check which i did but one year later i have been asked againe to pay for another check is this the norm as not happy at mo as not getting much work any info on this would be appriciated

Not the norm no. ask for clarification on it with them. CRB have a website too

Thank you james but agency said that I must pay for another CRB as it is there policy just pleased i am with another agencey so i will not be using them just stick to the one i have been with for last five years and they said they would not dream on asking staff to pay every year

Hi Lynn,
It is correct that agency staff CRB are renewed on a yearly basis and that it is an enhanced CRB. It is stated in the National Minimum Standards for Children's Homes Manual, page 41.
