who can help me with identifying the range of diferent communication needs

think about people in general, you are doing this everyday, pet.
for example you have people with disabilities-- visial problems, hearing problems, strokes, also people whose first language isn't english.
all the needs are different and all can be communicated with in various ways.

so do i just put down what i would do so that the people can understand me?

it says identify which is telling the range of diferent needs, as above.
unless they have asked you to say what you would do, then i would just stick with the question.
