Hi everyone i`m elaine just started nvq hsc2 been given a project by my assessor on communication i have to write the advantages/disadvantages on writing talking signlanguage and non verbal mind gone blank dont know where to start please help.

You are being asked to explain when and why it's best to use each form of communication and when and why it's not appropriate.

For example, why is it best to write in a report book about an incident rather than just telling your manager and colleagues?

Is it better to talk to an individual about their problems or ask them to fill in a questionnaire or write a letter?

A smile is a great reinforcement to the spoken word but we often give away negative feelings in non-verbal communication.

Take each form of communication in turn and explain the advantages and disadvantages of their use.

thanks for your reply i have already done a project on communication she know wants it broke down on advantages/disadvanges only it is already in my project but they are not broken individualy ie

disadvantages
i am not really sure how to brake the writen sign laungage and talking down to only advantages

Make two columns with 'Advantages' and 'Disadvantages' for each of the methods of communication

For written you could put - Can be read at a later date under 'Advantages' and - No good for someone who can't read under 'Disadvantages'.

Make lists of as many advantages and disadvantages that you can think of for each of the communications methods

Would u be kind enough if u could kindly explain HSC21a. Describe 2 examples of how ineffective communication may affect indivdual.
Does this mean if communcation was passed on incorrect and not understood???
