Hi iam new to this and having a lot of trouble understanding what is required i am trying to do nvq 2 hsc21 can anyone help

hi what is the question you are stuck on

Hi lou having trouble understanding 3 methods and ways of communicaring that
a support equality and diversity
b support the rights of people to oommunicate in their preferred method media and language
c are effective when dealing with,and challenging discrimination when communicating with ,individuals and key people

hi katrina, try this;
You need to be careful how you word things and make sure you do not say anything that would offend people, or hurt there feelings. Do not gossip with other staff, and make sure if you need to speak to a senior about a resident that you are not over heard.
You must take into account language, religion, and disabilities when speaking to a resident. Make sure they can see and hear you. Check they have there glasses on and hearing aid in and switched on. If they are blind you could use touch, and if they are deaf you could learn sign language. Certain language may be offensive to certain religious beliefs. You should respect a resident, if they do not wish to communicate, and be patient with those that find it more difficult.

thanks lou

Hi.
I'm new to the forum and about to start my nvq2.
I hope you have lots of patience, your going to need it with me.

What a relief to find this site! Have just started my NVQ 3 and am in a panic! I work with adults with challenging behaviour/forensics in the community and not in a residential enviroment. My assessor seems out of her depth too and basically I was beginning to think I had no-one to turn to. This site has gone straight to favourites!
