Any idea when this award is open for registration as I think you cant register for the RMA after August?

Will there be a need to still do management and care nvq 4?

I have the RMA and Level 4 HSC but wouldnt mind doing it for my professional development and to ensure upto date best practice.

I have looked at the standards and am abit disappointed tbh with it as they have lumped several areas in one unit and managing finances which is crucial is only a optional unit. Also, there again is alot of cross over between this NVQ and HSC which makes it repetitive for those having to do both this and NVQ 4 HSC. Also some of the pcs are very hard to obtain in my opinion around discplinary issues and of best practice litertature. I think deputy's will find it hard to gather the evidence in some organisation's.

On the good side it is easy to understand and you dont have them silly range to meet anymore, like in the RMA. The Knowledge evidence is more relevant and similar to Health and social care NVQ.

I hope the APL for the RMA and HSC4 when devised for this new award will be of use.
