Hi chalky,

For example - The Community Care Act, the Care Standards Act, the Equal Opps Act and your own workplace policies and procedures.

Hope that helps

Hi,
I'm having a few problems with one of my questions. i have looked on the forum but cant seem to find the answer.
Dilemmas between individuals views and preferences, aspirations and expectations and your role and responsibilities for their care and protection, your own values and those of the individuals and others, your proffesional values and those of others

Please help.

Hi,

What do you do if an individual wants to do something that you think is not safe? They have the right to free choice but you have a duty to keep them safe - that is the dilemma.

We all have our own values. Some people think that a person should have a bath every day, some once or twice a week - Who is right? What happens if the individual's, or your or other professional's values differ from each other? Again there is a dilemma.

Hope that helps

Hi,

Yes, the care plan is what you turn to if the issue referred to is in it but what if the issue is not included in the care plan such as the individual likes his old pair of slippers but you think that they are dangerous?
