Hi Fee,

Yes, if, for example, you write in a reflective account that you 'locked the cleaning materials away.' you can add 'This is in line with our Health and Safety Procedure (organisational requirements) which is based on the Health and Safety Act (legislation) which requires you to ensure the safety of those in the workplace and COSHH (guidance) which requires the safe handling of hazardous substances.'

Hope that helps

Hi Patsy,

What issues? If you mean daily living in general there are several sources of support such as your own management, health services, local daycare services, local and national charities or groups, key people and families and so on.

Hope that helps

Hi Patsy,

You can explain that you just monitor input and output in the way that you do - your NVQ is about what you actually do - but you need to show that you know how to do it correctly if required. Your completed award will enable you to work in a variety of settings so its important that you have a wide understanding. You will come across several instances such as this.

Try here:

http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/Teaching_Your_Patient_To_Calculate_ His_Fluid_Intake_And_Output.html

Use a chart to record input and output as it occurs.

Hope that helps

Human Growth
Identity and self-esteem
Loss and change
power and how it can be used and abused
the effects of stress and distress
Communication- different forms of and support given
Factors which can effect communication
