hi

i have to do a reflective account for this unit. i am finding it difficult to think of what to write about. i have not had much training in the last 2 years which makes it difficult and i am wondering what other people have written about to get myself started?

any answers would be very appreciated

Hi elgin,

Don't just think about training, we develop our knowledge and skills from various sources e.g co-workers, shadowing, feedback from individuals, their families, other agencies etc, reading/web research, the media and so on.

hiya i have managed to do 4 units already but just on unit 33 and i am having problems with this one i cant get my head around it. I think alot has to do with being promoted from carer to senior and going from 20 hours to 40 and having the time so if anyone can give me some pointer as to the performance criteria i would be very greatful thank you.

thanks for your response Aunty Sue. sorry i did not answer sooner but the computer has been on the blink. i have decided to hold on from doing this unit for a while but will come back if i have any questions

hi elgin. met with my assessor this week and she has x ref most of my units with this one, my reflective account has to be written about my supervision, the quicker im finished with my nvq the better !!! totally fed up now,it seems to be dragging on n on lol

Thanks for that. i still have not come back to this unit but will be doing it soon. i have reached the point where i feel like totally giving up on this course. i have been observed by my assessor but when i asked what i had covered she would not tell me. i feel like this is a total waste of time it is the only course where i do not know what i am doing. why does it differ so much from provider to provider? my colleague had a much better experience, his assessor was more organised. i have not had one assessment meeting on a one to one with my assessor and yet i have to finish in the new year! i have written reflective accounts for six units and boy am i fed up with this. i could not recommend this nvq to anyone.

sorry for the rant but i thought by now that i would feel more confident about this course.
