hiya kaz, check equipment, ergonomics, check condition of the hoists/slings,check whos leading between both staff, check careplans to see if in date if they have a moving and handling careplan.make sure you explain to residents/service users what it is you are going to do,asking if they can/will work with you and help you.ensure a safe enviroment before commecing any move.ensure safe footwear is worn and that no jewelrey could catch on equipment/resident.
hope that helps a little bit !!
