HSC 360 help. The effect that the individual's personal beliefs and preferences may have their preferences for moving, handling and positioning. What do they mean? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think it refers to the fact that some cultures find it inappropriate to have certain parts of the body in view of others and some cultures may not want a male carer for a female service user etc.

They may find it inappropriate to be touched even although you need to move and position them they may find it offending and therefore the carer must abide by their wishes and tell them that they need to move them and how they are going to do it to make the task less offensive or embarassing for the service user.
